Minutes of the meeting of June 8, storytellers

This Tuesday, June 8, the story tellers of the association gathered at the Library of the Part-Dieu to exchange experiences, share their feelings, express their wishes. A number of them happy in the context of the ABH and have long, but it was important to gather them all. They like to tell

by 2, in pairs, but not always the same, to enrich themselves still in contact with one another. They like to count by 3 when it comes to acting in a place, because it makes possible any arrangement depending on availability of one or the other.

Their activity, they insist, is all about "giving" a tale, they are volunteers in the service of storytelling. They offer this pleasure in many shelters, homes or nursing homes, all reflect their desire to continue their visits, which are key moments for themselves and their listeners. The quality of public attention remains irregularly perceptible: storytellers emphasize the importance of the role of facilitator to determine the conditions on site where do the sessions. These conditions are a mark of respect for those who give and for those who listen.

The storytellers attending the training day organized for the readers out loud and animated by Michel Beatrice wish to express how much they were interested, and have already left for a future session. Why not arrange training around stories to which readers are invited of course?

Thus, in order to plan and organize future exchanges, also facilitate the flow of information within the association, Eliane Philibert agrees to take responsibility for the group of storytellers. Eliane thank you, thank you all for your participation in this meeting and welcoming to all these tales-happy that you put so much heart to share!

Canker Sore And Drinking Soda

About the length of the texts we read

Several recent exchanges, in particular with the charge of reading aloud the CCAS Wasquehal (we will certainly have occasion to revisit this organization) convinced me that we must choose texts more short.
In practice it happens frequently retain texts 40, 30 and rarely 15 minutes. A quarter of an hour seemed an ideal length today .... I think half is already too: 8 minutes. I
overestimates the duration of listening to our audiences and this, to the detriment of the variety of texts, indisputable source of pleasure, and by overflow through maximizing our chance to present texts that appeal to the majority of people who are listening.
course, this orientation of common sense has many exceptions, most of which lie in the nature of the audience. But I tend to think that changing the length, I also change my way of introducing myself to my audience .
What think you? Bruno
